The green/blue photochromatic main lense is so good that I didn't even manage to test the premium orange one I bought for tougher whether. As to longevity of the googgles time will have to tell, but so far I'm very satisfied. As already stated the photohromatic lense works well in sunny conditions and when the light is flat. Sure a dedicated flat light lense will be better but for mixed whether days and for sunny days these are perfect. The additional lens is easy enough to pack in the included etui. I was surprised to see that a hard shell is only on the front but that's what makes it smaller and that's where the lenses live. The case while smaller than most other I saw is still fairly big and you will need a sizeable pocket or a fanny pack of sorts to take extra lenses in it with you on the slopes. One drawback of the magnetic system is that the goggles require two hand operation to put them up on the helmet. Duing it one-handed removes the lense. I have to adjust my habits here, but it's nothing compared to the benefits.
