fits 6 year old grandson, confusing instructions

I appreciate that these are washable, although I don't anticipate washing them often. My only concern is that the instructions say to talk with a ski instructor prior to wearing them.
There is no explanation as to why. And in the sales description on Amazon there is no mention of talking to an instructor

Waterproof!

I bought these for my grandson because he is on a ski team and he really likes them.
The gloves he was using were not waterproof so I bought these 3M (company is based in my state too!) and they are definitely waterproof. I would rate these 10 out of 10!
