Let's be real here, you're looking at these because you didn't want to spend $300 on oakleys.
These are comfortable, don't fog and the interchangeable lenses are solid and easyto us. The strap feelsgood and they come with a qreat casethat holds the extra lens. The
combo of the dark and light lens is pretty good.
The ony situation that these aren't great is in shadows with moguls/uneven snow. The contrast on these isn't great, and while it's not worse than clear (or no goggles, you don't
get nearly as good a contrast boost as an oakley prizm lens or similarly priced goggles.
But again, you're here because you didn't want to spend $300 on goggles. So buy it, you'e not going to find a better value, or better goggles for $60
I got these OutdoorMaster Falcon goggles in the Hydro-Rose lens color with the extra yellow lens. The goggles fit well with my Smith Mission helmet and there isn’t much of a gap. They have a very wide field of view, I found they still slightly block my peripheral vision, but they’re as wide or wider than any other goggles I’ve tried. Changing lenses is very easy and fast -- these don’t have a secondary catch, just magnets, but they feel very secure. I really like the included case, which has a stiff hard-shell front, a pocket for the spare lens, and a stretchy mesh fabric back. Once you remove the goggles, the case isn’t as bulky, so it is reasonable to carry the case with the spare lens in a jacket pocket. The mesh back allows the goggles to dry without having to remove them from the case.
I tested them the other day up at my local ski resort. Throughout the day we had everything from partly sunny to very stormy flat-light conditions with blowing snow, and the goggles performed well. I did notice a bit of an internal reflection when light was coming from some directions, but it was very minor compared to other goggles I’ve tried. The lenses resisted fogging well – at times the visibility outside was so poor I had to look down at my gloves to see that the goggles themselves were clear, it was just the blowing snow making it really difficult to see very far. Throughout the afternoon the visibility continued to deteriorate, so I switched to the yellow lens, which is a very light tint (light enough I think it would work for night skiing). Both tints worked well for the flat light, but as it got darker the yellow lens performed a little better. I eventually left about an hour before closing because everything else on my body was getting cold. This was very challenging conditions for ski goggles, and these performed well. I think they are a good value for goggles of this quality.
Very strong magnets for this thing, and they are great quaity,.Can't waito start using thisup on the mountains. really ike how it comes with two lenses and even a case and
dloth bag to put the goggle in.The case itself has a pocketin there to puta spare lens so you can always have it with you when you travel.0utdoor Master always ha decent
quality snow gear at half the price of the other brand names
LKES:
+LOVE the interchangeable magneticlenses. The lenses are rigid, but the frame is soft and bendable. The magnets "snap" into place, and are locked in by an impresively strong
hold.
+Love the included yellow lens- perfect for an upcoming skitrip where anticipate sunny days, but willalso do some night king.0ne goggle for a trip that requires two
different capabilities.
+Clarity of the Zeiss lens is fantastic. The wide viewing angle stretches to the peripheral without distortion.
+Awesome protective case, in addition to the fabric cinch bag, this kit comes with a protecive case, The hard front prtects enses from scratching. and inludes a separate
sleve for the second lens. The rear of the protective case is a structured mesh. That makes perfect sense to help dry/ventlate damp and snowy goggles after a long day oi
skiing.
+Love the silicone/rubber grips on the inside of the goggles strap. These grip the back of your helmet and help keep your goggles in place.
DISLIKES:
-As you can se in the second picture, the"A-hvdrobwe" iens is pretty se-through. t does have 27%h transmisionversus lowerforsome other colors, Based upon the produc
oictures, had hoped fora blwe miror tinish, whichis NO the case for this color. Model pictures also made this iens look more violet thanitrealy is. ts a rovalble that
refracts to navy with a tiny bit of violet at certain angles.
-Clearly, you pay a premium for the Zeis lens with this kit, and the colored lensis prominently branded with the reknown lens-maker's name. Butwhat about the velowhnight
lens? There is no similar marking, which leads me to believe that the yellow lens is not a Zeiss lens. That should be more clearly noted.
I overall, it's a fantastic kit and l can't wait to hit the slopes with my new goggles!
