Race 4 was held at a private off-road motorcycle racing compound near Union, SC.  At this facility, a dedicated junior xc mountain bike course has been developed. It is fast, flowy, and technical at speed. There are two climbs up rough hill climbs followed by a challenging grass section to the finish. Temperatures were perfect, and the dirt offered good traction.

Race Highlights

YCC’s Ethan Blocker, along with his teammates, continues to dominate the Varsity Class. Ethan came in minutes ahead of the pack. He was followed by Ben in 3rd and Jaden in 4th. Another epic performance is in the pocket!

The varsity Girls' race was won by Outdoor Master sponsored rider - Alexandra Cardozo. Her main opponent tried to make moves early in the race, but Alexandra was ready to counterattack.  After a final attack by Bea on one of the big hills, Allie countered with a relentless pace to the finish. She beat Bea by 2+ minutes!

Willow Anderson, who has been dominated 6th grade girls is facing increased competition. She was beaten at the finish line by 1/10 of a second. She maintains the points lead and is still in contention for the overall series win.

Many other excellent finish positions by all the racers from the 3 Catawba Ridge Riders HS Teams. Outdoor Master Helmets and Glasses are utilized by many of the riders and coaches. The fit and finish of these products are top-shelf, as is their functionality. The price range is much lower than other premium mountain bike helmets and glasses.
