While it may look cool to ski or snowboard without a helmet, it’s also very dangerous. The NSAA (National Ski Area Association) encourages every level of skier and snowboarder to wear a helmet. In 2002, only 25% of all skiers and snowboarders wore helmets on the slopes. That percentage has jumped all the way to 90% as of 2022. A lot has changed in the last decade and for very good reason.
