PUMP SERIES

Q: Can the Shark II Pump inflate my kayaks/paddle boards/inflatable boats?

As long as your kayaks/paddleboards/inflatable boats have the  suitable valve connectors and work under 20 PSI, the Shark II Pump  should be able to inflate them. The Shark Pump comes with Pinch valve,  Boston valve, C7 valve, 805 valve and H3 valve. If you're still not  sure, feel free to contact us through care@outdoormaster.com.

Q: The Shark Air Pump II I received looks like Shark Air Pump I, what's difference between the two?

We've stopped the sale of the first-generation Shark SUP Air  Pump. So we guarantee the product you receive is the Shark Air Pump II.  The most significant update of the second-generation Air Pump is the Internal Heat Dissipation System. The system enables the Pump to work longer without overheating. In  terms of the hardware, there's a new fan inside the second-generation  Shark Air Pump. However, this update might be challenging to identify  without opening the inside of the Shark Air Pump.

Q: Can the Shark 2S inflate while charging?

Yes, the Shark 2S can inflate while plugged into a 12V DC power source.

Q: What does the U-L/U-LO error code mean? And how to resolve it?

The U-L error code represents that the Pump is working under insufficient voltage. To resolve this issue, please try to connect the  Pump to another power source or double check the car battery unit.

Q: What does the U-H error code mean? And how to resolve it?

The LCD screen will display a warning when the voltage exceeds 15V. When the voltage drops back to 14.5V, the device will automatically exit voltage protection mode. To resolve this issue, please ensure that your power supply voltage is within the recommended range. Using a regulated power supply can help prevent voltage from exceeding the device's maximum threshold.

Q: What does the H OT(7) error code mean? And how to resolve it?

The pump shuts down automatically at 85°C to prevent overheating and restarts once the temperature falls below 60°C. To resolve this issue, ensure proper cooling by enhancing airflow around the pump or adding cooling systems. Implementing these measures will help maintain the pump' s temperature within the safe operating range.

Q: What does the E2 error code mean? And how to resolve it?

The pump shuts down at 100°C to prevent overheating. To resolve this issue:
Improve Cooling: Enhance cooling by increasing airflow around the pump or adding cooling systems.
Ensure Ventilation: Make sure the pump is in a well-ventilated area and not obstructed.
Avoid Overheating: Check that the pump is not exposed to excessive heat or direct sunlight.

Q: What does the E3 error code mean? And how to resolve it?

If the pressure fails to rise and the device enters protection mode, follow these steps:
-Check for Air Leaks:
Inspect the system for any air leaks, which can prevent pressure from building up.
-Inspect Connections:
Ensure all hoses and connections are secure and properly fitted.
-Verify Settings:
Confirm that the device settings are correctly configured for pressure operation.
-Examine Components:
Check for any blockages or issues with the pressure components.

Q: What does the PPPP error code mean? And how to resolve it?

When the pressure protection activates and the LCD screen displays "PPPP" and flickers, follow these steps:
Check for Air Leaks:
Inspect the system for any air leaks that could affect pressure.
Secure Connections:
Ensure all hoses and connections are tight and properly fitted.
Reset Device:
Press any key to exit the current state and reset the device.

Q: How do I know when my Shark 2S/Shark 3 is fully charged?

When the Shark 2S/Shark3 is fully charged, the indicator light should remain off. We've included an image for detailed instructions.

Shark 2S Charging Indication.

Shark 3 Charging Indication.

Q: Why is the Shark 3 charging slowly?

Charger Specifications: The Shark 3 supports a maximum charging output of 45W. It accepts the following input specifications: Type-C (5V-3A, 9V-2A, 12V-3A, 20V-1.5A) and DC (12V-10A). If you use a charger with lower wattage, it will take longer to charge.
Battery Capacity:
The Shark 3 has a battery capacity of 74Wh. Larger battery capacities can affect charging times, especially if the charger does not meet the required specifications.

Q: What should I do if the charging is still slow despite using the correct charger?

Charger Issues: Ensure that you are using a charger that meets the required specifications. A charger that doesn' t match the required input could result in slower charging. Also, check if the charging cable is functioning properly. Try using a different charger and cable to see if that improves the charging speed.
Connection Issues:
Verify that the charging port is clean and that there are no obstructions. A loose or dirty connection can prevent stable charging. Make sure the charging port is securely connected and free of debris.

Q: Why is the Shark 2S charging slowly?

Charger Specifications for Shark 2S: The Shark 2S supports a maximum charging output of 35W. It has similar input requirements: Type-C (5V-3A, 9V-2A, 12V-3A, 20V-1.5A) and DC (12V-10A). The Shark 2S has a larger battery capacity of 88Wh, which might also affect charging times.
Charging Time Comparison:
If you use a charger with lower wattage for the Shark 2S, it will also charge more slowly. Similar troubleshooting steps apply: ensure the charger and cable meet the required specifications and check for any connection issues.

Q: How do I power my CACHALOT 2S?

Please connect the CACHALOT 2S to a 12V DC cigarette lighter connector in your car.

Q: What are the main differences between the Cachalot 2 and 2S pumps? Do both require being plugged into a car to inflate a SUP?

The Cachalot 2S has a battery mode and can inflate/deflate without being plugged into a car when fully charged. The Cachalot 2 requires a car connection.

Q: Can I buy just one HR/H3 valve instead of a full set?

We only sell valves in sets. We appreciate your understanding.

Q: How accurate is your pump for low pressures like 1 psi and 2 psi? What are the pressure setting increments?

The pump supports a pressure range of 0-20 PSI, with increments of 0.1 PSI.

Q: Does this pump include a rechargeable battery?

The Shark II pump does not have a battery mode. However, the Shark 2S, Whale, and Cachalot 2S pumps include a built-in rechargeable battery. View Pumps

Q: Can I use this pump with e-bikes?

Our pumps are designed primarily for inflating paddle boards, kayaks, and other similar items. They may not be suitable for e-bikes, as e-bikes often require a specific type of pump with higher pressure and different fittings. For e-bikes, it's best to use a pump specifically designed for their tire pressures and valve types. If you have any specific requirements or need further assistance, please let us know!

Q: How does the Dolphin pump use the deflate function?

Our Dolphin pump does not have a deflate function. Thank you for your understanding.

Q: My pump won’t start. What should I do?

Please provide your order number and a video of the issue. We’ll assist you further once we have this information. For any immediate questions, reach out to care@outdoormaster.com.

Q: I received my pump without a user manual. Where can I find one?

Please send us your order number, and we’ll provide you with the manual. You can also contact us at care@outdoormaster.com.

Q: How does the Pump display the air pressure, in PSI or BAR?

The Shark Air Pump can display the air pressure in either PSI or BAR. Press the PSI/BAR button beneath the screen to change the measurement.

Q: How long does it take for the Pump to inflate my paddle board?

During the lab experiment, it took on average 8-10 minutes for the Pump to inflate a paddle board to 15 PSI.

Q: I lost one of the parts in my Pump, can I get a replacement part from you?

We offer a two-year warranty on our Shark Air Pump. Within two year of purchase we will offer the parts to you for free. When the warranty is passed, we can still offer you the parts for a standard price.

Get Shark II tube.

Get Nozzles and Gaskets.

Q: The Pump makes loud noise when it's working, is it normal?

A loud noise could be expected when the Pump is inflating your paddle board. This is because Shark Air Pump carries two powerful motors inside.

Q: The Pump cannot inflate to a specific PSI (cannot fully inflate my paddle board), what should I do?

There are a few solutions to this issue.
1. The Pump cannot inflate an already half-inflated board. If this is the case, use the deflation function of the pump first, and then inflate the board again.
2. Please check if the paddle board leaks. If the pump cannot detect an increase in the pressure, it will stop inflating.
3. Please try with a thicker rubber gasket, or add multiple rubber gaskets onto the hose.
4. Please check if the pump is working under insufficient voltage.
Feel free to email care@outdoormaster.com if all the above fails to resolve the issue.
